River Oaks Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, LLC is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood in the City of Baker, Louisiana. While enjoying the slower pace of a small city, we are only minutes away from the major medical centers of Baton Rouge and Zachary, as well as numerous doctorsβ offices and the offices of other health care professionals. The warm and friendly atmosphere experienced here reflects the long tradition of quality care that was begun many years ago by Ted and Marjorie Price β¦ a tradition based upon our belief that what counts most in a nursing facility is resident care.
At River Oaks, we know that quality resident care is no accident. It is the result of a team of professionals working together and committed to providing the very best in quality care. Our nursing team and staff know our residents well, their likes and dislikes, their preferences and their habits. One doesnβt have to spend much time at River Oaks to notice the warm and special relationships between our residents and our caregivers. River Oaks is continually working to upgrade and improve its services as evidenced by having an in-house nurse practitioner, leading our profession in electronic medical records, or simply by adding computer systems that are physically interactive and mentally engaging for our residents.
Our amenities include our huge open dining room, arts & crafts area, new state of the art rehabilitation and fitness center, special dementia care unit, and multiple day rooms with big screen TVs, as well as our outdoor veranda, all of which are ideal for a quiet afternoon show, a lively LSU ballgame, or an evening of cards or dominoes.
Our rehabilitation programs, including physical, speech, and occupational therapy, offer our residents the opportunity of returning to their greatest degree of independence with many able to return to their own homes. Our Physical Therapists help restore the range of motion, balance, strength, coordination, and functional mobility that allows our patients to improve the quality of their lives. Our Speech Therapists evaluate and rehabilitate swallowing disorders, language, speech, written and spoken verbal communication and verbal memory problems. Our Occupational Therapy team evaluates and provides training in activities of daily living such as feeding, dressing, bathing, and meal preparation. At River Oaks, we are committed to Improving Quality of Life.
